Hikari Taiko was founded in December 2015. The word hikari means light and taiko means drum. The ensemble is based in Stockholm Sweden and they play both traditional and contemporary taiko with a mix of western and japanese rhythms.
Some of the Hikari Taiko members run the non-profit taiko organization Taiko Shin Kai.
